You already know a warm bath feels good. But if you’re just dumping bubbles in and calling it self-care, you’re leaving most of the benefits on the table. The right ingredients — minerals, clays, acids — can actually support your skin barrier, calm low-grade inflammation, and help your body do what it’s already trying to do.
These aren’t miracle cures. They’re small, research-backed additions that turn a 20-minute soak into something your skin actually notices.
What’s actually happening when you soak
Your skin isn’t just a barrier — it’s a selective membrane. When you sit in mineral-rich water, some of those minerals absorb through the outer layers of skin. How to actually do this
A few things that matter more than the recipe:

Duration. 15–30 minutes. Longer isn’t better — after about 30 minutes, your skin starts losing moisture faster than it absorbs minerals.
